Less PAIN                                                                                       More PLEASURE
Here's a little story to illustrate the kind of situation which we prefer to avoid.

Perhaps Sammy  was driving too fast, or a tyre blew out. Whatever it was, the car ended up getting close and personal with a tree after sliding several meters along the pavement on its side.

Luckily Sammy emerged without a scratch from a car with a very dented body and a front wheel with a flat tyre that was pointing in a different direction to the other.

I received the call for help and recommended  a tow service to move the car to Sammy's house ... and only to Sammy's house. I would then have a look at the damage and suggest further action. Unfortunately by the time my recommendation was relayed to Sammy it was too late.

When I phoned Sammy to arrange to look at the car I discoverd that within minutes of the accident 'a very nice man' in a tow truck arrived at the scene  and offered to help. In a trice the car was hooked up and towed away to a storage yard just a few kilometers away.

No tow fee had been agreed ... the car was simply hooked up and towed away.

When I called the tow company after the weekend to enquire where it was and what costs were I got the bad news.

Fees amounted to R4900 and counting.

Since it was an old car and the estimated cost of repair added to the tow fee exceeded the value of the wreck it ended up being transferred to the tow company just to cover the fees.

Instead of recovering about R5000 from the private sale of the wreck Sammy walked away with nothing.

Expensive lesson for Sammy ... which need not have happened if Sammy had a been a member of WinWinCommunity and used the 'word of mouth' member recommended community service provider.

Here's a little story to illustrate the kind of situation which we prefer to experience.

Bryan operates a one man video production company. One day he was approached by a company that needed a video service. Bryan realized that the project was far more complex than he was able to handle but he was able to recommend another company with all the necessary equipment and specialists to do the job. Bryan had worked with them previously and was comfortable recommending them.

Some time later Bryan received a letter in the mail. It was a 'Thank You' note from the other video company with a four figure cheque enclosed. The note read: Thanks Bryan for recommending our company for the XXX company video project. Herewith our customary commission in appreciation thereof.

Naturally  Bryan was delighted and told everyone about his good fortune.  What a pleasure!

The point is that if Bryan had simply turned down the job, and not recommended the other company, he would NOT have received the commission cheque.  That little bit of effort paid off handsomely.

While this particular story did not happen as a transaction within the WinWinCommunity it is exactly how it works when transactions do take place between members and service providers of the WinWinCommunity.
